Fit Nation Tri Challenge (the “Challenge”)

How many times have you thought about doing something and you keep telling yourself that you’ll do it “someday” or it’s on your “to-do” list?
Well, I know I have a pretty long “to-do” list and a Triathlon is on my list along with running the Disney marathon, but it’s way at the bottom, the way, way bottom.
I’m not sure what’s holding me back. Why isn’t the Triathlon at the top of my list? I know I could accomplish the bike ride and even train to achieve the 10k run, but I think what’s holding me back is the swimming.
I can swim, but I’m not an Olympic swimmer. I’m more of a beginner. I don’t have the breathing part of it down, and well, that could be a problem.
So for all you people out there with a Triathlon at the top of your “to-do” list, you have the chance to get fit with CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

How to Enter:
“Send a video submission telling us why you’re an ideal candidate for the Fit Nation Triathlon Challenge — a 6-month journey that ends at the Nautica New York City Triathlon on July 18, 2010. The Olympic Distance race consists of a 1500m swim, a 40k bike ride, and a 10k run. Keep your videos short, no longer than three minutes. The deadline for submissions is December 14.”
“If selected for the challenge, participants must have health insurance, get a physical and letter from a doctor, and sign a waiver. Read the full guidelines.”
Hmm…I’m always ready for a challenge. How cool would it be to actually accomplish a Triathlon? Well, it’s on my “to-do” list. Someday…
